New USTU name laboratory

An opening of the name laboratory of "Vuktylgazgeofizika" LLC "Georesurs" was held at USTU Geological Faculty, on May 14.

The symbolic ribbon at the entrance to the laboratory was cut by the director of "Vuktylgazgeofizika", Alexander Skobelev, USTU Rector, Professor Nikolai Tskhadaya, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Nikolai Fedotov.

"Vuktylgazgeofizika" has been a partner of the University since 2005. It was one of the first trustees of geological specialties at USTU. "Vuktylgazgeofizika" specialists take part in the learning process, for practical training students are provided with high-paying positions and job placement at the company after graduation. The issue of establishing a specialized construction student team that will work at LLC "Georesurs" objects is being discussed now.

New teaching and practical laboratory is equipped with modern equipment. Computer simulators will replicate the actual production processes of the well studies. For example, the logging system Blick-3 simulator will help future professionals to master the skills of an operator of the geophysical laboratory.

An opening of the laboratory is another step in strengthening the ties of long-term fruitful cooperation of the gas industry representatives with our university.
