The final meeting with Serbian students

On 6th June, 2016 in a festive atmosphere the USTU rector N. D. Tskhadaya handed certificates of completion the summer practice to 11 students from Serbia and their accompanying teacher. Back in April this year the delegation from Serbia visited USTU to discuss some possibilities to organize a summer practice on the basis of Ukhta University. The conclusion of that meeting was the signing of a tripartite minutes of intent on cooperation between USTU, Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" and the company "Oil Industry of Serbia". And now everything what was discussed before became possible.

As mentioned, the summer practice was organized on the basis of Ukhta University for 11 second year students of direction "Oil and Gas Industrial Engineer " of the Technical Faculty of the University of Novi Sad (Zrenjanin, Serbia), accompanied by their teacher Zvonimir Bošković in the period from 24 May to 6 June, 2016. As part of a two-week practice guys attended short series of lectures on the oil and gas engineering, had some sightseeing tours in the museums of USTU, went to several industrial facilities such as the compressor station -10, the gas processing plant in Sosnogorsk, the refinary station "Ukhta-1", the training center of OOO "Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta", watched some geological samples on the river Chut, in the villages of Belgop and Sedyu, did a number of laboratory works. In addition to studying the guys had enough leisure time: they went into the woods to overcome a rope barrier line, participated in a friendly football match against teams of USTU staff and students of Mining & Oil College, visited the horse-riding club "Planeta-Universitet" in the village of Shudayag .

The plans for the near future is to organize the same practice for the second group of students from Serbia in September this year.
