USTU student became a finalist of the prestigious contest

USTU student Vladimir Mamaev became a finalist of the prestigious contest among students of German and Russian universities called «Young Visions Award», held by Gazprom and Wintershall Russland International GmbH. His work on "The use of magnetic cooling for the thermal stabilization of permafrost" was highly praised by the professional jury of experts. Now Vladimir is waiting for the final, which will take place in the period of 24-26 October in Freiberg (Germany).

Only three of the best students with fresh ideas will be invited to Germany to present their reports. The winner will get:

One-week internship at one of the fields of Wintershall Russland GmbH or Gazprom;

Publication of the proposed ideas in magazines «Oil and Gas Journal Russia», «Offshore Russia», «Gazprom»;

Additional one-year subscription to the magazine «Oil and Gas Journal Russia»;

Assessment of ideas by international experts. If the idea will be great and technically possible, the company Wintershall Russland GmbH or Gazprom International will support the first stage of the project by providing targeted funding.
