We did it! The preparatory course is finished!
Today, on 2nd August , 2016 there was a solemn awarding of certificates of completion of the preparatory course for foreign citizens to the development of professional educational programs in Russian.
Alexander Serditov, acting vice-rector for external affairs, gave the start of the ceremony. He turned to international students with a welcoming speech and noted the importance of the Russian language not only for its carriers, but also on a global level. The teacher of the Russian language I. V. Filippova continued the meeting with the parting words addressed to the students. Lyudmila Shevchenko, International Department coordinator to work on recruitment of international students and preparatory department, joined the speakers’ speeches and smoothly switched to the awarding ceremony of long-awaited certificates.
This year the preparatory department taught 27 international students. Unfortunately, two of them were not able to learn the entire program and got Preparatory Course letters with a number of disciplines they had learned.
Now all students, who have passed final exams and received their certificates, have a chance to continue their education in bachelor or master programs at USTU and other universities in Russia.
At the moment the international department of USTU continues to receive online applications from international citizens wishing to study in Russia. You can find more details about it at: http://en.ugtu.net/preparatory-course
