The meeting with international students of the preparatory course

Last Friday, on 13th January 2017, at the international department of USTU a meeting with international students of the preparatory course, which enlighted issues of migration registration of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, as well as further education at the university, was held. Meetings of this kind are regularly held for each new set of international students of the preparatory department. Such meetings are primarily aimed at informing foreign citizens of the rules of migration registration and visa extension. In addition, inernational students were informed about what documents they need to prepare for the beginning of the campaign launch of the admission office for the recruitment of applications on higher education (at Bachelor's, Master's, Specialist's level).
After the presentation was shown, international students were able to ask their questions, share their achievements in the study of the Russian language and general impressions about living and studying in Ukhta.
It is worth recalling that in this academic year at the preparatory department of USTU there are 16 international students (2 groups) from such countries as DR Congo, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, Ghana, India, the Philippines, Mexico. At the moment the international students are stuying Russian intensively, and in February their schedule will be extended with other subjects: mathematics, physics, computer science. The course of the preparatory department will be completed by mid-summer. After that the guys will take entrance exams to continue their studies at Ukhta University.
