The International Department

The International Department of Ukhta State Technical University

The international department exists at Ukhta State Technical University since 1996. The department's overall objective is the opening of new and maintenance of existing communications with universities of other countries.

Structure of the international department:

The primary goals:

Strengthening and expansion of international contacts of USTU in the field of educational and scientific cooperation; Maintenance of USTU's participation in international conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, fairs, and other international actions promoting the development of cooperative activity with other universities

Activity directions:

Developing and realizing cooperation agreements with foreign partners;

  • Searching for new foreign partners;
  • Interacting with foreign partners, international organizations abroad and within Russia, and embassies of foreign states concerning USTU's international contacts;
  • Searching for exchange programs and grants and informing employees, students and post-graduate students of the university about possible forms of participation in the given programs.

The International Educational Centre

International Management Studies(IMS)

The program involves higher economic education with a profound study of the English language. The course of study is 5 years. In addition to the basic diploma, students of IMS receive a translator's diploma.

Translation with a focus in professional communication 

Students in this program can study full-time (1 year) or part-time (2,5 years), and upon completion they receive an official state diploma certifying them as translators.

Courses of foreign languages.

Students have the option to study English, German or French. Anyone can enroll in these courses, even if they have already received a degree. The courses are held in the evenings, so that people can study while working full-time. For students of one group courses can be included in the schedule.
