USTU lecturers as guest lecturers in Serbia

Two of USTU lecturers were guest lecturers at a university in Serbia, they led a couple of lectures with students of Novi Sad university (Mihajlo Pupin Technical Faculty) courtesy of the joint international educational program "Industrial engineer of oil and gas", which Ukhta State Technical University partnered with NIS Oil industry of Serbia and the Technical faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" of Novi Sad University (Serbia) to bring the program to reality.

USTU in the list of the most influence universities in the world by THE University Impact Rankings 2019

Ukhta State Technical University has entered the ranking of the most influential world universities according to the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings 2019, which compares educational institutions on the basis of achieving the United Nations goals in the field of sustainable development. Professors from the USA Nicholas Ourusoff once again visited Ukhta

A teacher from the USA, a good friend of our university, Nicholas Ourusoff visited USTU once again. This time, the professor flew into the Ukhta airport on March 12. The task of the professor was to conduct lectures at the department of computing, information systems and technologies, as well as the organization of seminars and master classes for students and teachers.

Visit of SPE lecturer Hedengren John David

Within the framework of cooperation between Ukhta University and the world society of petroleum engineers SPE, guest lectures of the world's leading experts in various fields of the oil and gas industry are organized on a regular basis. On March 25, 2019, an open lecture was held by USA SPE lecturer Hedengren John David at USTU. The topic of the lecture: "Drilling automation and downhole monitoring with physical models."

Exchange Training in Norway

Three students from Ukhta State Technical University began their studies at universities in Norway in early 2019. This became possible thanks to the cooperation of the USTU with the Norwegian partners in the framework of the development programs of the Norwegian-Russian cooperation "Barents Plus" and the Erasmus + program.

USTU welcomes an intern from the Czech Republic

On December 27, 2018 a student from Masaryk University (Brno) Maria Lukeshova arrived in Ukhta city for her internship program, Maria’s internship program will last until the end of June 2019 and will be interning at the International department of USTU, also working with the preparatory department, and she’ll also be attending some class at the "Public relations and Advertising department at USTU".

Preparatory course end of the year meeting

On the 27th of December 2018, the International Department of USTU organized a meeting for the 2018/2019 preparatory course set, the meeting was themed a “Support meeting”. The meeting was comprised of the students of the 2018/2029 set, the Russian language lecturers and the International department team. The main reason for setting up the meeting was to prepare the students for the next 5 months of their study at USTU in the preparatory course, which entails having their documents up to date, preparing for their entrance exams and their Russian language exams.
