Qualification: Bachelor of "Computer Science and Engineering"
Short description:
Computer science and engineering is a field focused on solving problems with computers. It is a dynamic discipline positioned at the crossroads of many fields in mathematics, science and engineering, and it brings together theory, abstraction and design of computing devices, programs and systems to solve a variety of problems in just about all areas of human endeavor.
Computer science and engineering encompasses the methodology, tools and techniques, and theory of how information is derived, stored, manipulated and communicated. Because of its importance to our world, computer science and engineering is an extremely exciting field of study that continues to grow at a rapid pace.
Your future professional skills: Computer engineers apply their knowledge to the design of digital circuits and software in various areas, including cell phones, computers, computer networks, computer vision, pattern recognition and embedded systems.
Career options: Our degree program combines computer science and computer engineering to offer students a complete foundation in both computer hardware and software. Graduates of the program can tap into a strong gaming market in the region or seek employment in industries ranging from military to software to cyber security. Nationwide, demand for computer scientists and engineers is strong, as the need for trained computer scientists and engineers is growing in fields ranging from health care to education to business.
Internship: Students pass industrial practices (internships) and educational practices in IT companies, oil and gas fields, drilling, oil and gas enterprises as well as in university laboratories such as the laboratory of 3D simulation.
Reasons to study at Ukhta University: USTU has contracts and agreements with oil and gas companies in development of oil and gas stations; it owns the IT laboratory for design of mobile applications.
