Jürgen Grötsch

Global Training Consultant in Geology at Shell.
Responsible for the development and implementation of modern training programs for key areas of integration and capacity building in the modeling of the geological decision making environment on the basis of multi-disciplinary teams.
Has a doctorate in carbonate lithology and is the author and co-author of numerous publications and books.
Vice-President of the German Geological Society.

Abstract: Integrated reservoir modeling (IRM) is the best practice in the extractive industry and is used throughout the life cycles of oil and gas projects aimed at characterizing the underground reservoirs and optimizing the development phases of the fields. In this regard, carbonate and terrigenous reservoirs are different in various aspects, which will be highlighted at the lecture.
