On 20th April, 2017 the 2nd Interregional Conference "Education of Foreign Citizens and Export of Educational Services" has been started in the Ukhta State Technical University.

The opening of the meeting took place in an unusual format of a remote webinar in the form of a round table. The welcoming speech was made by the head of the international department A. N. Grigoriev, who noted the importance of the conference and wished the colleagues fruitful work.

The main objectives of the conference were the generalization and systematization of the experience of Ukhta University and other organizations of the Komi Republic and Russia in the training and socialization of foreign citizens. The work of the conference was divided into four sections: Section 1. "Aspects of building an intercultural dialogue"; Section 2. "Round table between international students of preparatory departments of Universities participating in the Consortium*: Life in Russia: expectation and reality"; Section 3. "Round Table. Training of international students in Russian educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education "; Section 4. "Actual issues of pre-university training of foreign citizens".

Sessions of the first two sections were held on 20th April in the form of a webinar. Three universities participated in them: National University of Science and Technology  "MISiS" (Moscow), Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (Ufa), Tyumen Industrial University (Tyumen). During the meeting of the first section, representatives of the international departments of the Consortium universities discussed the problems of organizing events for the optimal adaptation of students coming to Russia from far abroad countries. In the second section, the international students themselves, who started to learn Russian last year, for the first time had the opportunity to remotely communicate with each other. In addition, each of the parties has prepared a short video demonstrating how international students live and study at Russian universities. Undoubtedly, students received some energy boost and were satisfied with the communication.

The conference "Education of Foreign Citizens and Export of Educational Services" will continued its work on 21st April for the remaining two sections.

It's worth to mention that the conference was organized under financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
