On the threshold of the Victory Day, the Russian Committee of Solidarity and Cooperation with the peoples of Asia and Africa (RCSCAA) and the RCSCAA Youth Sector announce the Second Poetry Recitation Contest for students and postgraduates from Asian and African countries “Victory in the Hearts of Generations”.

The competition aims at increasing awareness and appreciation of Russian poetry about unequalled heroism of defenders of the Fatherland in The Great Patriotic War among foreign students.

On November 5 th, 2020, within the framework of the conference "Geology, Development and Operation Problems of oil fields and hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves transport", the section "Oil Social and Cultural Environment" was held for the first time in English. 7 reports were submitted to the section. Students from Nigeria, Colombia, Gana, Zimbabve and Russia performed their reports with great success.

Students of USTU, who are Rebecca Alava and Ivan Kovalev, visited school №20 in Ukhta. The visit was devoted to project «Ukhta International Ambassador». Students attended English class and told pupils about Rebecca’s motherland – Nigeria. Also they were asked for some questions from the audience. The meeting was really lively because of activity of pupils.

English courses, which are devoted to the project «Ukhta international Ambassador» took place from 2nd till the 6th of November. Ukhta’s pupils of each age group learn something new and consolidate old knowledge. International students and employees of international department of USTU are also involved in the process as tutors.

Ready for studying in Russian!

Students of the preparatory course of UGTU received certificates in preparation for studying of general education programs in Russian. The solemn presentation took place on July, 15th in the International department of Ukhta State Technical University.

The students were inspired by the Head of the International department Angela Rocheva, vice-rector for academic affairs Yevgenya Shebolkina, as well as tutors and teachers of the preparatory department Elena Zhilina and Nelson Kumaga.

On March 13-15, the II Republican Volunteer Forum "Volunteer Support" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory was held at Ukhta University. What should be a real volunteer like? Strong? Of course. Brave? Of course. Smart? Undoubtedly. But the most important feeling that encourages people to selflessly help and take care of others is kindness.

The dance group of USTU "United BIT" returned with regular victories from the official championship and the championship of Russia in cheer sport. The championship was held February 22 - 24 at the CSKA Universal Sports Complex in Moscow. In addition, among adult members of the collective, 19 people completed the standards for awarding the title of “Master of Sports of Russia”.
