II Republican Forum “Volunteer Support”

On March 13-15, the II Republican Volunteer Forum "Volunteer Support" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory was held at Ukhta University. What should be a real volunteer like? Strong? Of course. Brave? Of course. Smart? Undoubtedly. But the most important feeling that encourages people to selflessly help and take care of others is kindness.


United BIT - best in cheer sport

The dance group of USTU "United BIT" returned with regular victories from the official championship and the championship of Russia in cheer sport. The championship was held February 22 - 24 at the CSKA Universal Sports Complex in Moscow. In addition, among adult members of the collective, 19 people completed the standards for awarding the title of “Master of Sports of Russia”.


USTU representative took part in the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program (ITEC)

From February 3 to February 14, 2020, the head of the international department Anton Grigorev took part in a training course on the topic “Effective Resource Management Strategies for Educational Organizations” at the National Research Institute for the Training of Technical Teachers (Bhopal, India) in accordance with the quota from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Indian Government under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program (ITEC).


Twelfth International Forum "Rassokhin's Readings"

The Twelfth International Forum "Rassokhin's Readings" is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Ukhta branch of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC. On February 6 and 7, the Ukhta State Technical University hosts the traditional international conference “Rassokhin's Readings”, devoted to the problems of developing gas, gas condensate, and oil and gas condensate fields.


Meeting at the student day

January 24, a meeting of the student asset of Ukhta State Technical University with the leadership of the university took place in a business incubator. The meeting with the acting rector of the university Ruslan Aginei launched the two-day program for celebrating Tatyana’s day.


USTU’s Career Guidance Festival Has Begun!

An informed choice of and preparation for one’s future career fresh out of school isn’t a question of great good luck, but rather a direct result of the cohesive work of every link in the educational chain. In this context, an important event is the Career Guidance Festival, organized in order to familiarize as much as possible the students of Ukhta’s secondary schools with the opportunities of Ukhta State Technical University.


“Great and mighty” - for international students

On October 21, the second group of the preparatory department celebrated the beginning of the school year in a festive atmosphere at the international department. Among the future students are young people from Ghana, Liberia, Zimbabwe.


Laboratory complex “Labor Protection and Industrial Safety” of Transneft was opened at USTU

For many years Ukhta University has been actively cooperating with Transneft, in particular, its subsidiary Transneft North. Another remarkable result of this fruitful interaction was the presentation of new nominal audiences of the Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection on October 18, 2019 at the Ukhta State Technical University.


Ukhta city unveils monument of the first Oil engineer originating from Ukhta

October 4, near the house of life "Service" was the Grand opening of the monument to the first Russian oilman Fyodor Pryadunov. This event is doubly significant for USTU staff and for all Ukhta residents, and in connection with the work on the social and communicative project "Ukhta – the birthplace of the first Russian oil", which has been implemented by the University for nine years. The semantic focus of the project is the personality of Theodore Fyodor Pryadunov.


The first group of the 2019/2020 preparatory course begins

On the 19th of September the international Department of USTU officially began the study year for preparatory course.  Just like every year students from diverse countries applied to study at USTU  including students from Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Senegal and South Sudan.
