USTU graduates 2016

Last Saturday, on 25th June, 2016, a solemn graduation ceremony of Ukhta State Technical University took place on the new stage of the sports complex «Burevestnik».

This year, 1401 young graduates of Specialist, Bachelor and Master programs received their diplomas of higher education of USTU. 72 of them got a red diploma of excellence. The Vorkuta branch of USTU had 236 graduates, the Usinsk branch - 208.

At the end of the ceremony vice-rector for teaching and studies and extended education O. A. Sotnikova noticed: “Today we are not saying good-bye to the university, it’s a step to a new start. At USTU we have all traditional and innovative forms of educational training. Remember that one form of education can’t be the extent of study process. We study all our life long”.

After the awarding ceremony a column of young professionals in blue and green robes traditionally go along the streets of the town. The culmination of the evening is the taking of the pictures on the steps of KiO Park and a concert with performances of creative groups of the university.
