An American lecturer at USTU

With a help of the "Distinguished Lecturer" program outstanding representatives of oil and gas scientific developments can give their lectures to students all over the world to discuss the challenges and solutions in this field.

From 12 to 13 September, 2016 Ukhta State Techincal University was visited by the American lecturer William L. Koederitz. Mr. Koederitz is the Chief Technology Officer at GK Plus Innovations. Previously, Bill spent 20 years building real-time applications and drilling automation systems at National Oilwell Varco. Prior to that, Bill worked as a drilling engineer and as a university researcher. He holds BS, MS and PhD degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a Registered Petroleum Engineer in Texas.

During the visit lecturer have had some excursions through University infrastructure and laboratory facilities, the Museum of USTU, Business Incubator, “Old” part of the town and met the international department staff and a group of student representatives of the SPE organization.

According to the lecturer, this is the first time he visited Russia and he was very pleased to have contacts with such a large number of foreign university employees.

Summing up, the lecturer shared his impressions, saying that everything went very successfully and productively, and he liked it very much, thanks to all the organizers and those who made this trip possible.
