The video meeting with the Embassy of Venezuela in Russia
Yesterday, on 26th October, 2017, at 11am a video meeting between representatives of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Russian Federation, headed by Ambassador Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa, with representatives of the USTU was held at the international department. Among participants from USTU there was Vice-Rector for External Affairs, Adviser of the rectorate G. V. Korshunov, Head of the International Department A. N. Grigoriev, Director of Institute of Geology, Oil and Gas Production and Pipeline Transportation N. P. Demchenko, Head of the Department of Ecology, Land and Nature Management V. Yu. Dudnikov, Associate Professor of Drilling Department S. V. Kamenkikh, a senior lecturer in the design and operation of the main gas and oil pipelines V. L. Onatsky.
The main purpose of the meeting was the exchange of information on possible ways of cooperation in the sphere of oil and gas education of employees of domestic industry.
During one-hour conversation the Venezuelan side expressed its wishes for cooperation and came out with the intention to conclude a cooperation agreement aimed at training specialists of the state oil and gas company of Venezuela PDVSA at USTU at the preparatory course for studying the Russian language and further on Master's programs of oil and gas profile in the near future. In addition, other options for cooperation, which will be worked out by the parties soon and included in the agreement on future cooperation, were also discussed.
