Anniversary Graduate of the Preparatory Department of the USTU International Department

On June 28, 2019, a solemn ceremony of awarding certificates to graduates of the Preparatory Department of the USTU International Department took place. The event was a kind of anniversary: this year, the hundredth student received his final certificate- Ndlovu Nobleman Dumisa from Zimbabwe.

Without a doubt, the  obtainment of certificates is the most expected and exciting event in the life of future graduates of the preparatory department, it is the beginning of a new stage on the way to higher education.

In 2019 graduates from Ghana, Zimbabwe, India, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan received certificates.

A Preparatory Department for international citizens was opened in February 2015 at the USTU International Department. The University was given the opportunity to accept for study foreigners who did not speak Russian. During the first year, they study Russian and other necessary subjects, and then, in the summer, pass entrance exams and enter higher education programs (bachelor and master). Last academic year there were 18 international students studied Russian in 2 groups.

The teachers of the Preparatory Department do great work. In 10 months, international students master the Russian language to a level acceptable for continuing university education.
