Practical trainings for Serbian students at USTU
From 15th to 28th May, 2017, 14 students of the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" of the University of Novi Sad (Zrenjanin, Serbia), who are studying at the third year in the direction of training "Oil and Gas Industrial Engineer", accompanied by their teacher, had practical trainings at USTU. The delegation in full arrived in Ukhta on 15th May in the afternoon. The practice began on 16th May, when in a solemn atmosphere L. A. Kravtsova, N. P. Demchenko, O. A. Morozyuk and A. N. Grigoriev said a few welcomed words and voiced what the students from Serbia should expect for two weeks.
The practice was full of lectures, seminars and different events. The following departments were involved in it: department of Development and exploitation of oil and gas fields and underground hydromechanics, department of Design and exploitation of main oil and gas pipelines, department of Geology of fossil fuels and solid minerals, department of Well Drilling, department of Machines and equipment of oil and gas industry and department of Physics. In addition, they visited such industrial facilities as the compressor station -10, the gas processing plant in Sosnogorsk, the refinary station "Ukhta-1", oil mine "Yareganeft" (ground infrastructure of the Lyaelskoye field), visited the museum of USTU, the training center of OOO "Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta", the museum of the geological collection. Also, guests from Serbia could learn more about the university campuse,had a sightseeing tour through the personalized laboratories of the main building of USTU, the business incubator, and the training ground. In addition to studying, the guys had enough leisure time: a meeting with USTU basketball team and trainer Zlatan Presic, a dialogue in Russian with international students of the preparatory course, the English club with a Fulbrighter from the USA, an opening ceremony for the student work units, friendly basketball and football games against a team consisted of USTU staff and teachers.
Upon completion of the practice, the students received certificates of successful completion, which were handed over by the USTU rector of N. D. Tskhadaya at the final meeting in the conference hall on 26th May.
