Delegates from a Serbian partner university visit USTU
Ukhta State Technical University is always open for cooperation, especially if the participants of such collaborations are foreign partners. The partnership with representatives of the Technical faculty “Mikhail Pupin” at the University of Novi Sad (Serbia) and Partner Company "Oil Industry of Serbia" is a great example of the international partnership. This alliance began in the spring of 2013, and the recent visit of the Serbian delegation once again proved its fruitfulness and effectiveness.
The visit took place from the 27th to the 31st of May 2019. A working delegation from Serbia composed of six members headed by Eleanor Desnitsa - Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering of Oil and Gas Development «Mihajlo Pupin" in Zrenjanin (Serbia). Eleanor arrived with four of her students including an USTU alumnus - Strahinja Divnich, who is a junior specialist in hydrodynamic modeling of the company "NIS" now.
The key event of the visit was a joint round table and the signing the Statement of Intent. Besides, with the support of partner companies USTU organized a very rich program for the Serbian delegation in Ukhta city.
The guests were given tours of the USTU Museum, USTU’s TV Studio, USTU’s business incubator. They also visited the nominal laboratories of the University, the training and practical training ground of the mining and oil College, a complex of new exhibition halls of Gazprom transgaz Ukhta, an Educational unit of the Training and production center of Gazprom transgaz Ukhta, LUKOIL-Komi LLC at the facilities of the Yareganeft Oil Production enterprise, the University sports complex “Burevestnik”.
During the working meeting held on the 28th of May, the parties discussed the prospects of cooperation, including in the framework of a joint program with teachers and the administration of the University. Acting rector of the University Dmitry Belyaev noted the importance of international activities, long-standing friendly ties between Russia and Serbia, as well as the readiness of the to further development of international educational projects, one of which is long-term cooperation between Ukhta University and the Technical faculty "Mihajlo Pupin".
Following the visit, a bilateral Statement of Intention the development of cooperation was prepared, which the Deputy Rector solemnly signed on May 30 for international Affairs and external relations George Korshunov and the head of the Serbian delegation Eleanor Desnitsa.
