READY FOR STUDYING IN USTU

Ready for studying in Russian!

Students of the preparatory course of UGTU received certificates in preparation for studying of general education programs in Russian. The solemn presentation took place on July, 15th in the International department of Ukhta State Technical University.

The students were inspired by the Head of the International department Angela Rocheva, vice-rector for academic affairs Yevgenya Shebolkina, as well as tutors and teachers of the preparatory department Elena Zhilina and Nelson Kumaga.

"Russian language is one of the most difficult languages in the world," said Angela Vyacheslavovna. – It is very great that you were not afraid to come to Russia, to the country where the cold winter is, but Russian people have warm hearts.

Most of those who have graduated from the preparatory course are going to study at UGTU. One of the foreigners will continue his studies at Lobachevsky University in Nizhny Novgorod.

- I am sure, our teachers invested all their soul in teaching Russian language, - handing certificates, concluded Evgenia Petrovna. - The year was not easy for you. Not everyone managed to master the language perfectly, but this is only the beginning. We need practice, live in communication with native speakers in order to fully master educational programs in the future and become specialists.

In addition, the vice-rector asked everyone about their immediate plans. It was necessary to answer, of course, in Russian. Most of the students, overcoming embarrassment, coped with a simple task. Most of the students have admitted that they are going to study Management, but there are also those who are planning to devote their lives to Construction, Oil and gas, Ecology.

          Next academic year, it is planned to introduce the project of Ukhta State Technical University "Ambassador." According to this project, those who have studied at USTU will become representatives of the Ukhta university in their countries and cities so that as many young people as possible learn about the northern university and come to study here.

That day, 14 foreign students from Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and other African countries received certificates indicating the successful completion of the preparatory course.

After the solemn presentation ceremony, the students went to the USTU Museum and passed the historical quest, answering the questions prepared in advance.
