Worlwide day of tourism in Ukhta

On the 7th and 28th of September, 2014, on the bank of Ukhta river the first all-around tourist competition called “Autumn camping" was held. It was devoted to the worldwide day of tourism. Workers and students of Ukhta state technical university took part in the competition.

Traditionally pupils, students and workers of town educational institutions and companies participated in that activity. The rout was tracked in the forest near Ukhta river under control of USTU rescue team vice-director Nikolai Suslonov. The participants had to overcome simulated barriers: marshes, going through the installed over precipice log, going down and up using some special equipment and following all the rules during it and many others. The second day of competition was the day of terrain orienteering.

Such competitions can be organized in any season and they are always full of excitement and high spirits, besides they don’t need much money to spend.
