The III Republican Youth Innovation Convention “Youth is for Komi Republic Future" took place on the basis of Ukhta State Technical University with the support of the Ministry of Education of Komi Republic, on April 23, 2013.

From 10 to 12 April, 2013, in Ukhta State Technical University there were series of commemorative events dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the university.

From 08 to 12 April HEF USTU students participated in the XIII All-Russian Festival of students and faculty with international participation «PR is a profession of the third millennium", which was held at the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" named after Ulyanov (Lenin).

The photo exhibition "Revived stories" within the 55th anniversary of Ukhta State Technical University was opened in the lobby of the main building on April 11.

Final selection of innovative projects under the "Wise men" and the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology was held in the framework of the II Republican scientific-practical forum "Innovative technologies - the basis of the national economy ", from 28 to 29 March, 2013.

Ukhta State Technical University employees won the final stage of the selection process.

Traditional poetic marathon was held in Syktyvkar, onMarch 28, 2013. The poems of poets from all over the republic were heard in the museum of Ivan Kuratov for ten hours without a break. This time the event was dedicated to the memory of the national poet of Komi Republic Albert Vaneev.

On March 29, in USTU took place visual demonstration "55 USTU" dedicated to the 55th anniversary of Ukhta State Technical University.

Undergraduate of Northern Studies is an international program that is linked in the University of the Arctic with other universities, colleges, with networks for the northern academic and research institutions.
