USTU representatives participated in the International seminar "Knowledge for the future" at Nord University

On 10th January, 2017, an international seminar “Knowledge for the Future” and the opening of the spring semester at the Business School was held at the High North center of Nord University (Bodø, Norway). The USTU Vice-Rector for External Affairs, Georgy Korshunov and director of the Institute of Economics, Management and Information Technology, Mikhail Petrov participated in the seminar and discussions.

Christmas Tea Party at Krokhal

Christmas is a season of celebration and sharing, a time filled with joy and happiness and a moment of putting smiles on the faces of people around you. During this season, the International Department of USTU organized a Christmas tea party for the students of the preparatory department and other international students of the university. The event took place on December 25, 2016 at the recreational center of the university “Krokhal”.

Unofficial festival initiated by the Indians and the Brazilians is celebrated not only by the world's tea producers, but also by consumers of this popular beverage.

On 15th December for students studying Russian as a foreign language at the preparatory department of Ukhta University a tea party was organized by teachers Svirchevskaya Nadezhda and Valentina Sangadzhieva.

On this day new vocabulary was learned and mastered by students from Africa and Asia in practice.

USTU takes part in the project "Generation Study Abroad"

Ukhta State Technical University announces its official commitment partnership with Generation Study Abroad since August 2016. The main aim of this partnership is to play an important role in increasing the level of study abroad for U.S. students by 2020.

Welcome Day - 2016

Annually USTU opens its doors for schoolers who are going to complete their last study year at school and soon will be choosing the best education institution to continue their study at Bachelor’s level. This chance has come today, on the first day of winter.

During the day schoolers from different schools of Ukhta could take a look at the university from inside, get to know much about available programs, explore the university infrastructure and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of student life.

French representatives of PathControl and DrillScan at USTU

From 21st to 22nd November 2016, the President of the Board of Directors of PathControl, Ludovic Macresy and the Sales Manager of DrillScan (Russian and Caspian region), Gabriel Cavey visited Ukhta State Technical University. The main purpose of this visit was to gain acquaintance with the university complex of USTU and participate in the IV Arctic Symposium of SPE «Way to the Arctic».

The Russian language worldwide

At the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute the live part of the training program "The Russian language and education in Russian in Russian international positioning system" was held in the period from 26 to 28 October, 2016.  

The delegation of the Embassy of Venezuela at USTU

In order to develop the educational, scientific and technological cooperation in the field of oil and gas and the strengthening of friendly relations between Venezuela and Russia the delegation of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Russian Federation consisting of four people headed by a ministate counsellor of policy and energy issues, Hoglys Jesús Martínez Núñez, visited USTU in the period from 31st October to 2nd November, 2016.

USTU international students visited Sosnogorsk

Everyone knows that learning a foreign language is one of the important subjects at school, but the majority of students are skeptical about this statement, because they can't use their knowledge in practice. Especially when it comes to learning the French language.

The meeting with first year international students

On 11th October, 2016 in the main building of USTU there was the meeting with 1st yearstudents, arrived in our university from countries near and far abroad.

The questions directly related to the future life of students from abroad and the rules of their stay in the Russian Federation were discussed during the meeting.
