Ukhta State Technical University

In the period from 12th to 14th July, 2016, USTU was visited by the director of the representative office of Petroleum Industry of Serbia (Нафтна индустрија Србије) in Russia Maxim Mikhailovich Voishchev. The purpose of the visit is to get to know the university complex and to discuss areas of further cooperation.

We do care of our international students and try to make their life in the town of Ukhta more confortable.

Even if our town is not as large as Moscow, we don't want our students (especiallly newcomers) to get lost one day. So we have prepared some route maps presented how to reach the main facilities by bus! We hope that it will be useful for you!

On 5th July, 2016, in the Lomonosov Moscow State University there was the Forum of Rectors of Russian and Chinese universities.

Last Saturday, on 25th June, 2016, a solemn graduation ceremony of Ukhta State Technical University took place on the new stage of the sports complex «Burevestnik».

This year, 1401 young graduates of Specialist, Bachelor and Master programs received their diplomas of higher education of USTU. 72 of them got a red diploma of excellence. The Vorkuta branch of USTU had 236 graduates, the Usinsk branch - 208.

Yesterday, on 22nd June, 2016, in the cozy atmosphere there was the closing of the School of tutors of international students organized by the international department, which culminated with the handing of certificates of successful completion of the course and performing practical tasks.

Nevertheless the summer has come to the town of Ukhta, our international students have no time for holidays yet. Two out of three groups of international students, who study at the preparatory department, passed their first exams successfully. And we would like to congratulate them, because they did study hard during the year to achieve good results.

On 6th June, 2016 in a festive atmosphere the USTU rector N. D. Tskhadaya handed certificates of completion the summer practice to 11 students from Serbia and their accompanying teacher. Back in April this year the delegation from Serbia visited USTU to discuss some possibilities to organize a summer practice on the basis of Ukhta University. The conclusion of that meeting was the signing of a tripartite minutes of intent on cooperation between USTU, Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" and the company "Oil Industry of Serbia".

Last Sunday, on 5th June, the football team of USTU staff had a chance to play with another team of international students. This time they were from Serbia, who came to the Ukhta University for a summer practice. There were three friendly games between the teams of USTU staff, students of Serbia and students of Mining & Oil College.

In the middle of last month there was the long-awaited grand opening of the business incubator with the participation of Acting head of the Komi Republic Sergey Anatolievich Gaplikov,USTU rector Nikolaiy Denisovich Tskhadaya and the head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front in the Komi Republic Olga Viktorovna Savastianova. The total number of guests was about 150 people. However, this did not prevent the organizer from making a tour through rooms the business incubator.
