Russian-German Contest “Young Vision Award”

The Russian-German student contest Young Vision Award is a joint social initiative of Wintershall and Gazprom International. The two companies decided to organize it in order to bring together young students and experts from Germany and Russia. Our aim is to foster exchange of ideas in the area of oil and gas production and to create an intercultural communication platform.

On 17th February, the Republican Student Forum “Young Republic” was held in Syktyvkar.  The forum was devoted to the 95th anniversary of the Komi Republic and the day of student unions.

The elective course for active students of USTU was organized by student union at Ukhta State Technical University in the middle of December, 2015. This course gives a wide range of opportunities for students to develop many skills and abilities.

Barents Plus – the regional scholarship program for institutions of higher education in the Norwegian and Russian Barents

Christmas morning at the production-and-training center "Gazprom transgaz Ukhta"

People say that Christmas holidays are filled with special feeling of expecting something good and magical. It may be said that Christmas morning for our international students started in a magical way as well – they went to have an excursion at the production-and-training center  "Gazprom transgaz Ukhta", where training, retraining and advanced training in different areas of gas transportation is carried out.

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

On 25th December the Christmas musical project arranged by International Department was presented in the museum hall of USTU.

The US teachers Katie Bascom and Victoria Pardini celebrated Christmas in Russia for the first time. They made their minds to share magical spirit of the most favourite holiday in the USA with everyone. That was how the idea of this international project appeared.

Distinguished Lecturer program

On January 13 under the Distinguished Lecturer program, implemented by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Ukhta State Technical University will host a lecture of the Senior Technical Consultant for Marathon Oil Company, Donald Purvis. Theme of the lecture: «Cement Testing:  Are We Looking at The Right Things The Wrong Way?»

We invite all students, candidates, teachers and young scientists!

All guests will have an opportunity to ask Donald Purvis their questions.

Student exchange through north2north

A north2north exchange aims to give you competence and experience you can benefit of in your future professional and/or academic plans.

Christmas concert

Christmas is just around the corner! Everything is ready for the Christmas concert!

So we would like to invite everyone for joining our Christmas concert on 25th December, Friday, at 4:00 pm in the museum hall (1st floor, near the main entrance to the University building "A").

The choir consisted of USTU students and university staff under the guidance of Katie Bascom is going to perform the following songs:
