Today, on 25th July, 2017 there was a solemn awarding of certificates to the international students who completed the preparatory course. It is worth reminding that the preparatory course is meant to prepare foreign citizens for study programs of Bachelor and Master degree in Russian.

The 7th annual Republican Youth Educational Forum "Innovation: Krokhal 2017" was held in Ukhta from 3rd to 7th of July, 2017.

About 180 people from different towns and cities of the Komi Republic participated in this annual forum. The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Komi Republic organized the forum in collaboration with Ukhta State Technical University, Syktyvkar State University named after Pitirim Sorokin and the Republican Center for Support of Youth Initiatives.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, Ukhta State Technical University hosted a solemn graduation ceremony for the 2017 graduates of USTU awarding them with diplomas on higher and secondary vocational education. The ceremony was held at the educational-sports complex "Burevestnik" of USTU.

From 15th to 28th May, 2017, 14 students of the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" of the University of Novi Sad (Zrenjanin, Serbia), who are studying at the third year in the direction of training "Oil and Gas Industrial Engineer", accompanied by their teacher, had practical trainings at USTU. The delegation in full arrived in Ukhta on 15th May in the afternoon. The practice began on 16th May, when in a solemn atmosphere L. A. Kravtsova, N. P. Demchenko, O. A. Morozyuk and A. N.

It is not the first year that USTU has been successfully interacting with partners from Serbia. One of such interactions is international cooperation, which began in late September, 2014, when USTU together with the company “NIS ad. Novi Sad” (Oil Industry of Serbia) and the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” of the University of Novi Sad has launched a joint international educational program “Industrial Oil and Gas Engineer”.

The Second Interregional Conference "Education of Foreign Citizens and Export of Educational Services", held in Ukhta State Technical University, came to the end on 21st April.

On 20th April, 2017 the 2nd Interregional Conference "Education of Foreign Citizens and Export of Educational Services" has been started in the Ukhta State Technical University.

The opening of the meeting took place in an unusual format of a remote webinar in the form of a round table. The welcoming speech was made by the head of the international department A. N. Grigoriev, who noted the importance of the conference and wished the colleagues fruitful work.

On 14th April, 2017, an unusual Poetry Night was held in the history museum of the USTU. The organizers of the conference were the International Department. Poems of the classical Russian literature were recited by students from DR Congo, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Uganda, Nigeria, India and Ghana, who study at the university in the preparatory course.

In such a creative form the students took an test in the course of phonetics taught by the graduate of the College of Lewis and Clark, the teacher of English Sarah Jean Mills.
