Meeting with representatives of the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg

On Friday, 24th of November 2017, the Vice-Rector for External Relations of Ukhta State Technical University, Georgy Korshunov held a working meeting with the Deputy Consul General of Great Britain (St. Petersburg),  Elizabeth Webb and Public Relations Adviser, Tatyana Raudson at the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg,

The meeting with international students of the preparatory course

On 28th November, 2017 a meeting, organized for the students of the preparatory department, who arrived in our university from the far abroad countries recently, was held in the international department of USTU.

The questions directly related to the future life of students from abroad and the rules of their stay in Russia were discussed during the meeting.

Internship at Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Finland)

The final day of the inter from Finland at the international department

On 10th November, 2017, at a regular meeting of the English Club a farewell meeting with the intern of the international department, citizen of Finland Soyrinki Siiri Meri was held.

During the internship (from 16th August, 2017 to 10th November, 2017), Siiri performed the following functions at the international department:

Cooperation with a new partner

Ukhta State Technical University is delighted to inform that recently we signed the cooperation agreement with the recruitment agency Flyborder, which will attract students from Nigeria to study at USTU. Over the years, Flyborder has been co-working and representing USTU in Nigeria. Now our organizations set up formal collaboration, which will last for at least 5 years.

Internship at the International Barents Secretariat

The International Barents Secretariat invites students and young professionals from Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Barents part of Russia to be part of the secretariat’s team as interns for the spring period 2018, approximately from 1 February.

A USTU representative took part in the Barents Plus Program meeting

From 31st October to 1st November, a meeting of the representatives of Norwegian and Russian universities participating in the Barents Plus international program was held in the city of Narvik (Norway), on the campus of the University of Tromsø - Arctic University of Norway. Ukhta State Technical University was represented at the meeting by the head of the international department Anton Grigoriev.

Republican ethno forum "We are Russians. The common destiny is a single union"

On 31st October, 2017 in the Finno-Ugric ethnopark in the village of Yb in the Syktyvdinsky district  a national ethno forum "We are Russians. The common destiny is a single union" was held. It gathered together about 200 people: members of national-cultural and patriotic associations, public figures, representatives of republican and municipal authorities, student youth.
