What specialties are demanded by Gazprom, by what criteria employers estimate future specialists of gas industry, what can yesterday's student expect when he/she has received an invitation to work at the enterprise, which is part of the company? Exhaustive answers to these and other questions USTU students could get at the job fair of JSC Gazprom, which was held at the University on Tuesday, September 16.

JSC Northern Oil Trunk Pipelines (JSC "SMN") in cooperation with Ukhta State Technical University and JSC Lukoil-Komi has created a training ground at Mining and Petroleum College. Its main purpose is to improve the quality of training of specialists for the oil and gas industry. At the new site, students will be able to apply their knowledge in practice while working with high-tech equipment.

The working visit of representatives of Serbia to USTU took place from 1 to 5 September. Dean of the "Mihajlo Pupin" Technical Faculty of University of Novi Sad, Dr. Milan Pavlovic, Managers for Cooperation with Universities of NIS-Gazpromneft, Snezhana Lakićević and Anna Simanik, as well as Assistant to the Mayor of the town of Zrenjanin, Dusko Radisic came to Ukhta to continue work on a joint educational project of the University of Novi Sad and USTU.

Back in June at the meeting of the Council of the Municipal Urban District “Ukhta” it was decided to present Ukhta State Technical University Rector, Professor Nikolay Tskhadaya with an Honorary Citizen of Ukhta Award for his outstanding achievements in the field of science and education.

On September, 1st a traditional celebratory assembly devoted to Knowledge Day and World Day took place at the Ukhta State Technical University

From 8 to 12 July the USTU Krokhal tourist camp hosted Interregional Youth Educational Forum called Innovation: Krokhal 2014.
