Meeting with all international students



On the 3rd February at 16:20 will be a meeting with all international students at the big physical auditorium in campus A (13, Pervomayskaya St.)

Purpose of the meeting: The opening of the Association of International Students (AIS) branch in the Komi Republic.


Once in Ust-Kulom

Every year the admission office of USTU receives invitations to attend the event "Fair of professions" from every corner of the Komi Republic and other regions of Russia. The aim of the event is to inform pupils of grades 9-11 about study opportunities. Representatives of the international department, coordinator to work on  recruitment of international students Shevchenko L. V. and intern, the international student Osei-Bonsu E., went to a historical place Ust-Kulom to tell pupils of grades 9-11 about all the benefits of studying at Ukhta University.

Get a scholarship "Barents Plus" to study in Norway

The program "Barents Plus", which is meant to stimulate the formation and maintenance of educational and research related cooperation between universities and university colleges in Norwegian and Russian parts of the Barents region and contribute to better cultural understanding, mutual increased competence, can give you such an opportunity!


The meeting with international students of the preparatory course

Last Friday, on 13th January 2017, at the international department of USTU a meeting with international students of the preparatory course, which enlighted issues of migration registration of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, as well as further education at the university, was held. Meetings of this kind are regularly held for each new set of international students of the preparatory department. Such meetings are primarily aimed at informing foreign citizens of the rules of migration registration and visa extension.


The student exchange in Norwegian style

Over the past few years Ukhta University has been actively participating in the academic exchange program "Barents Plus". "Barents Plus" is a program to provide scholarships for universities in the framework of cooperation of the Norwegian and Russian part of the Barents Region. This cooperation is directed not only on the development of qualifications in higher education in the Barents region, but on a deeper study of the culture of the neighboring countries, as well as to strengthen the knowledge of their own cultural features of the participating countries.


USTU representatives participated in the International seminar "Knowledge for the future" at Nord University

On 10th January, 2017, an international seminar “Knowledge for the Future” and the opening of the spring semester at the Business School was held at the High North center of Nord University (Bodø, Norway). The USTU Vice-Rector for External Affairs, Georgy Korshunov and director of the Institute of Economics, Management and Information Technology, Mikhail Petrov participated in the seminar and discussions.


Christmas Tea Party at Krokhal

Christmas is a season of celebration and sharing, a time filled with joy and happiness and a moment of putting smiles on the faces of people around you. During this season, the International Department of USTU organized a Christmas tea party for the students of the preparatory department and other international students of the university. The event took place on December 25, 2016 at the recreational center of the university “Krokhal”.

Christmas is all around!


Everyone knows that Christmas is the best time in the year! Christmas is something about togetherness. Christmas is something about sharing.

The International Department would like to invite everyone to enjoy cosy Christmas atmosphere on 25th December (Sunday) at 11 am at Krokhal (house № 3), share Christmas carols, sweets, picturesque views of winter woods, and feel like a big international family!


The international day of tea

Unofficial festival initiated by the Indians and the Brazilians is celebrated not only by the world's tea producers, but also by consumers of this popular beverage.

On 15th December for students studying Russian as a foreign language at the preparatory department of Ukhta University a tea party was organized by teachers Svirchevskaya Nadezhda and Valentina Sangadzhieva.

On this day new vocabulary was learned and mastered by students from Africa and Asia in practice.
